Requirements are listed as being prominent sites in town, district, edge of centre or out of town locations and ideally with main road frontage with easy access and strong pedestrian or traffic flow.
Nothing mentioned about the old Waitrose store in Teignmouth, and I see Dawlish is in line for one.
That will shake up the Co-op and Sainsbury's.
I for one have no problem with that and will welcome it as I do most of my shopping at that store and if/when they do come to Dawlish, then all my shopping will be done there.
Be surprised if Sainsbury's dont sell their Dawlish store to Lidl lowering the towns image even further than the new housing developments have.
I'd rather have a Lidl store "lowering the towns image" (if a Lidl store actually does that!) than seeing the scum round the lawn, swearing, spitting, shoplifting and making a general nuisance of themselves.
Well, you can't blame Lidl for that.
