A mentally ill robber who held up a string of men in the street at knifepoint has been recommended for detention in a psychiatric unit.

Michael Green, for Cabanga, said he had been assessed as suitable for treatment by one psychiatrist for a Hospital Order under the Mental Health Act.

He is already being held at the Langdon Unit near Dawlish.
