Seaside towns in the South West need help reinventing themselves, with a mixed package including better transport links, better access to higher education for young people and better internet connectivity, a House of Lords report has claimed.
The committee said that many seaside towns and coastal communities were in desperate need of improvements to transport, housing and broadband.
The Lords also recognised how there was "only one railway line connecting Cornwall to the rest of the UK... the line from Exeter to Plymouth and Penzance via Dawlish and Newton Abbott."
