I do not use any of those antivirus crap protecters. I do not even use any microsoft products. If others were to switch to an open source platform such as UBUNTU, they would find they did not need it either.

Some people are happy with what they have and are prepared to pay for it year on year. Not for me I am afraid. Why do you think micro soft is so rich?

Use AVG, it's free. A little annoying trying to get you to pay for extras but I've used the free version of AVG for years. If I could I would run a UNIX-based system as others have said it comes with built-in security.
