People are being advised to stay away from exposed areas and take care  this afternoon. A number of trains have been cancelled and others will be delayed because of forecast severe weather in Devon. Heavy rain is forecast for parts of Devon - including Dawlish - at around 4pm.

People are advised to stay away from risk areas and take care next to the coast.
Keep up to date with weather and tide conditions on local radio and the internet. We will continue to monitor the situation and issue an update on Saturday morning. Flood alerts are not expected to remain in place all weekend.
