POLICE chiefs will not be replacing one of Dawlish’s community support officers, it has been revealed.
PCSO Debbie Sleeman, who looked after the rural area around Dawlish along the Exe estuary, moved to Cornwall in July.
Now it has been confirmed that her position will not be filled.

There is talk that the Police office is due to close but that apart with further cuts to Police numbers in the pipe line it may be we have a responce only Police Force in the future.
Or a private sector police service?

It would be interesting to see a current breakdown of all ranks and salary bands within the Devon and Cornwall Constabulary. I think you will find a rather bloated and top heavy management structure in place within this system. How many pcso's could we have for the price of one superintendent?
