The decision by health bosses to move Teignmouth Hospital's Minor Injuries Unit to Dawlish has been met with 'bitter disappointment' by campaigners.
The South Devon and Torbay Clinical Commissioning Group says the changes have safeguarded the two community hospitals and will ensure both Teignmouth and Dawlish have 'much stronger health services that look after people for years to come.'
