New town centre maps which highlight Teignmouth and Dawlish’s range of shops and businesses are now available.
The guides have been produced by Teignmouth and Dawlish Community Interest Company and are aimed at supporting traders in both resorts and encouraging more people to the towns.
The 2014 map shows new businesses that have opened in the towns. Between Teignmouth and Dawlish more than 350 businesses are included from greengrocers and butchers through to art galleries and antique shops.
With over 30 new businesses in Teignmouth and 10 new businesses included in the new maps, discover even more reasons to visit the towns.
Teignmouth and Dawlish Town Centre Development Manager Emma Kay said “Using the maps, visitors can discover more of what our towns have to offer, such as Britain’s oldest passenger ferry at Teignmouth and showing the wide variety of shops in Dawlish on Queen Street and Park Road that often get overlooked.”
Teignbridge District Council’s Leader Cllr Jeremy Christophers said “These maps are a great way to promote what each town has to offer.
“We’re hoping that people make the most of the maps and really take time to explore the area, especially now that spring is finally here and now the railway line is back in business.”

'With over 30 new businesses' I would be curious to know what they are, Charity shops maybe! Cynical, indeed. Now let's wait for Mrs C to have a go, sigh!
