Cofton Country Holidays has been awarded gold in the Devon Tourism Awards, held in association with Visit Devon.

The four-star holiday park in Dawlish picked up the top award in the Holiday Park of the Year category in a ceremony at the Grand Hotel in Torquay.

Helen Scott, director of Cofton, said: “We have recently invested a huge amount into the park which has dramatically increased customer experience

and helped us to branch into different markets. It’s been a great season this year and the team have worked very hard.

“It’s good to see that the continous improvements we are making are paying off.”

The accolade comes after the holiday park won gold at the South Devon Tourism and Hospitality Awards. It will now go on to the South West Tourism Excellence Awards in 2014.
