Around £1,000 worth of damage was done to nine beach huts in Dawlish when they were broken into at the weekend. The huts at Coryton's Cove were targeted sometime between 6pm on Saturday, October 26, and 8am the next day. Attempts were also made to set two of the huts on fire, causing damage to one table in a hut. "The huts are in a secluded area but we hope someone saw something, so we are appealing for witnesses," said DS Pete Boorn. Call police on 101 quoting log number JG132045.
