THE Late Mrs Early will be presented at the Shafesbury Theatre, Dawlish, by the town's rep group from October 22 to 26.
The comedy is by Norman Robbins, one of this country's most-treasured and prolific authors of pantomimes and plays.
Although he now lives in Devon, he was born and grew up in Yorkshire, where this play is set, and he dedicated his play to the residents of his home town of Castleford.
The play is full of the dialogue of northern working class family life, particularly reflecting the domination of the male species.
