Tradesmen have been reported calling door to door offering services for repairs to the owners property, or telling the occupants that they have inspected the property and work needs to be done.

It seems they are targetting mainly the elderly.

The police have advised anyone who feels the work needs to be done, obtain at least two other quotes from reputable tradesmen.

Householders who feel they have been pressurised or intimidated into having work done or paying an overinflated bill can contact the police.
