Dawlish News

The A379 in Dawlish was closed in both directions today due to flooding.  The main road through the town was closed between the Marine Parade junction and The Strand junction.

Dawlish was hit by localised flooding following periods of torrential rain.

The Brook river, which runs through the town centre, burst its banks after water levels rose by around 2ft. Station Road is also flooded.

According to BBC Travel News,It seems to be have been cleared as there are no Incidents. 

Not sure what purpose was served by posting this at 8.20pm!!! The road was clear by 5.45pm!!!  I really hope though that the mess left behind by the torrent is cleared up sooner rather than later.
