A driver photographed apparently reading a newspaper while at the controls of a high-speed passenger train has been suspended while his company investigates the incident.
The man was caught on camera by Jim Hales, 64, as a First Great Western (FGW) train, which had set off from Plymouth, emerged from a tunnel at Coryton, near Dawlish, in Devon.
The picture showed the driver with his newspaper unfolded in front of him. He was apparently responsible for driving a train full of people.
