Dawlish Warren has gained the prestigious Blue flag award for the 13th year. A spokeswoman for Teignbridge District Council said "Dawlish Warren is sign-posted as one of the top resorts in the UK, attracting visitors from across the globe:

The resort includes green space, amusements, pubs, cafés, shops and an internationally significant national nature reserve.

During the tourist season it is watched over by an RNLI lifeguarding service.
