A new section of the Exe Estuary Trail cycle and walking path will be officially opened by Devon County Council and Exeter City Council on Friday. The authorities have worked together to improve the stretch of just over three miles from Bridge Road to Turf.
It is the latest part of the 10-mile off-road cycle network, completed as part of the Exeter Cycle Demonstration Town project, and forms part of the £6.2m Exe Estuary Trail, which will provide a walking and cycling link between Dawlish and Exmouth via Exeter.
