Due to high winds overnight structural damage has been caused to the sea wall in the Dawlish area and the seaward track has been closed (that's the one that goes from exeter to cornwall). Track engineers are down there now assessing the damage and trains passing on the good line have a speed restriction.
Services between Exeter and Newton Abbot are being disrupted as many commuter (little trains) have been cancelled, and express trains, like the London Paddington, are stopping at teignmouth, dawlish, dawlish warren and starcross. This disruption is likely to be ongoing throughout the day.
