Brook street is cordoned off whilst Police investigate the scene of a stabbing that occurred in the early hours of this morning.

The victim, a 38 year old male from Hampshire, was taken to Torbay Hospital after the attack, although it is not believed that his injuries are life threatening.

Police are seeking a man seen leaving the area at the time.
