The Teignbridge Sports Personality of the Year Awards 2005 take place tonight, with a host of dignitaries and sports stars gathering at the Langstone Cliff Hotel Dawlish Warren, for a night of prize-giving and celebration. This year's sporting extravaganza will be as big as ever, with Teignbridge District Council pulling out all the stops putting together a high-tech and intriguing evening. Hosted by ITV Westcountry sports presenter Mark Tyler, the awards ceremony will honour athletes, teachers, coaches and volunteers from all over Teignbridge in an Oscars-style gala. A charity sports auction will also take place on the night, with Gemini FM's Charlie Moseby playing the role of special guest auctioneer and all proceeds going to Children's Hospice South West.
