Teignbridge is promoting the government's walking the way to health scheme with a timetable of short guided rambles up to six days a week free of charge. Walk This Way Teignbridge strolls take less than an hour and all ages are welcome, including people in pushchairs and wheelchairs. There is no need to book, just turn up for walks around Bovey Tracey, Buckfastleigh, Chudleigh, Dawlish, Kingsteignton, Newton Abbot and Teignmouth. The organisers say it is a good way to meet new people and explore the district. Walking also improves blood pressure, lowers the risk of heart disease and helps with weight problems, stress and anxiety.
