A man was attacked by a dog and stabbed by its owner as he walked along Teignmouth sea front. The 37-year-old from Dawlish was on the sea wall between Teignmouth and Smugglers Cove when the incident happened at around 8.30pm on Tuesday. An argument broke out when he met a man walking an Alsatian along the sea wall in the opposite direction. He was then assaulted by the man and bitten by the dog before falling to the ground. When the victim returned to his home, a friend inspected his wounds and discovered he had been stabbed in the back of the neck. He was taken to Torbay Hospital for treatment and discharged on Wednesday.
