A teenage arsonist who wrecked a house and a shop causing £1 million damage in a Devon seaside town has been jailed. Recorder John Williams told the 17-year-old at Exeter Crown Court on Monday that the offences were so serious they could only be dealt with by a custodial sentence. The teenager was 16 when he set fire to a wheelie bin outside Pinder Fashions, in Dawlish, which was subsequently destroyed by fire.
