The Kenton Castle who has played host to top entertainers such as Elton John, Status Quo, Blue and this year Westlife, Jools Holland and Busted, was given the award by the event services association TESA last week.
General Manager Tim Faulkner was delighted with the award and with how successful the concerts have been. The castle has more people arriving at the few concerts held each year than the rest of the visitors througout the year.
Last year's Elton John concert attracted 13,000 people while Blue attracted 20,000.
