Totally agree FredBassett.  But again, a new road wouldn't be easy because it would have to damage Little Haldon (SSSI and all that).

Hm, tunnelling under Haldon or Little Haldon, taking away the train service from Teignmouth and Dawlish ...  Can't see that getting through easily.  (Or maybe the existing line would have to stay open, with the Exmouth-Paignton crawler using it while the expresses go through the new tunnel ? if so, then #FredBassett your speculations may not come to anything).

Come along and have your sense of humour painlessly extracted, obviously.

"Fairly easy going" !??? It's a lovely walk but I wouldn't call it that.

Back to the original question - there has been at least one around Topsham for a few years now.  I think there was even a breeding pair one year.  Probably nothing to do with Dawlish: feral ("escaped") Black Swans are on the increase all over England.

Well, neither of them were open yesterday afternoon around 2 o'clock.

Why is that, slap bang in the middle of the holiday season, the only gents' public toilets open are at Boat Cove and Sandy Lane ? Is this because of carefully-targeted vandalism or just bad planning ?  Anybody know ?
