If it's not a serious incident then see strand on Police Helicopters. There's an explanation there that they have to "use up their hours" before end of financial year. Alternatively, continuing theme of previous strand, they may have just fitted infra-red camera technology and are taking advantage of the warm weather to test it out.

Yes there are signs but they definitely said that someone had told them to go back and that there was a new route. I know there's a sign at the Red Rock cafe but are there signs earlier on from the Warren?
Beautiful photos. Part of their territory is under threat on the western edge of Dawlish. The local plan originally had a proposal for 100 houses there, now reduced to 20. But the concern obviously is that 20 does take away some of their territory and sets a precedent for future encroachment, especially if the designation of "protected areas", "coastal preservation area" etc changes. Thanks Lynne. The reason I asked was that I was at the Red Rock cafe where I met a couple of cyclists heading for Dawlish who had been turned back and told that there was a new cycle path from the Warren to Dawlish
Is there now a cyclepath between Dawlish Warren and Dawlish or is it still along the road - does anyone know?
