Thanks. There were a lot of unmarked ballot papers! I assume that these were from those who only cast a vote in the general election and/or district election but still popped their town election ballot paper into the ballot box.

A hung council! Well done to all candidates for a good clean election. Is the breakdown of votes available anywhere yet?

Not enough people cared enough to vote out the Tories. My maths are sketchy, but I think that in 2011 the LibDem candidate with the most votes was voted for by 20% of those who voted, whilst Gary Taylor this year was voted for by 27% of voters. Shocking Hocking (Tory) sits at 37% compared to 40% last time for the Tory with the most votes. John Petherick (Independent) sits at ...

The electorate here is only 5 higher than in 2011.

The electorate is 449 higher than it was in 2011. The Tories wouldn't have won if people were that bothered about Warren Farm.

At least the LibDem candidate beat the UKIP candidate Martin Heath.

a) 2000 more votes were cast than there were four years ago. b) Warren Farm has been clearly an irrelevance when voters decided who they wanted to represent them. c) Isn't it interesting that the female candidates got significantly fewer votes than their male allies?

"It's not the number of candidates we have, it's the number of winning candidates we have." A rare bright spot on a dark day.

@burnside. In your opinion.
