Thanks for sharing that Gary.
So, she was so desperate to be elected that she decided that she could only do so under the banner of a political party? I'd rather our town councillors were elected because of their manifesto rather than because of the political party that they're members of. It's hypocrisy on her part, and it stinks. In my opinion obviously.
I was intrigued to read in the DG that the new mayor of Dawlish has urged councillors to "keep politics out of the chamber". She's absolutely spot on, and I would like to thank her for her candour. I do wonder why though, if this is how she feels, she stood as a Conservative Party candidate in last years town council elections?
Who told you that the A379 is going to be closed?
A letter has been sent by TDC to Kenton and Starcross residents describing in great detail the road plans, transport arrangements and other pertinent information for the weekend. There will also be a community meeting in Kenton on 18 May, being held by reps of the BBC, Powderham and transport authorities.
@Gary Taylor The 'lard alert' symbols are the fish ones by the drains, not the ones in Ziggy's photo.
The Teignmouth fish have been there for the last couple of years. It's the EA spraying next to drains to highlight the fact that pouring fat down drains ends up polluting our seas.
Sorry LN, but developers aren't going to build developments in or near the town centre and its facilities because there's no land there. And for the record, your thread title doesn't at all imply that the wish list must include the provision that the dream house is in or near the town centre of Dawlish. Oh I've just seen that you've edited your first post of today to include "centrally ...
Sorry, you didn't state that they were part of your specifications. Self builds are unlikely to be available in centrally located plots of any town. That said, neither are new builds, so you're asking for the impossible as the Ken's of this world wouldn't want new builds in or near to them.
Then how about you go down the "self build" route? http://www.devonselfbuild.com
