@Lynne - it was as my last post - as far as the people i spoke to at tdc are concerned no one knows about any agreement with dawlish town council to keep the toilets open until the completion of the tender. @Soul of Dawlish - so what was the gist of your conversation with Nicola Bulbeck? Did she explain why she thinks they're a succss story?

SoulofDawlish - who is Fred?
I don't doubt the OurSoul haters will enjoy it, which is all you need to know about their sort. @Netiquette - you saw how high the webmaster jumped with the carnival thread but is asleep at the wheel the rest of the time. I've reported it too, but don't hold your breath. What a load of bollocks.
@stephen15 . the Tory party are in government - god help you, no ifs.
And people voted for more government cuts. For every 'happy ending' story like this there are many more that aren't.
Who cares if it's tat anyway, it's a caravan holiday! If Pinder Fashions are investing and expanding, Teignbridge are earning rent and rates and the punters are buying more flip flps, that's win win win in my book.
I just got the letter today - the small print at the bottom shows it's from the Lib Dems not directly from Richard Weeks. I wish him well but can't help thinking he's being used by them to get votes.
What did you think the Russians were going to do off the Cornish coast that they couldn't do from Moscow?
I fear where this is going. We don't want the webmaster declaring which of 'bizarre' or 'peculiar' is acceptable. Stick with bollocks, it's safe.
Better hope you don't fall ill over the next five years then.
You've forgotten this then? Anti-Labour press would have done the same to anyone who wasn't dancing to their tune. During the Blair years there was a backlash against 'personality politics' but in reality that's what most of the electorate relate to.
Thanks for explaining the difference between 'idiot' and 'bollocks'. What a load of bollocks.
I was going to tactically vote LibDem but as small protest at the way Doc was treated I think I'll give my vote to Green. Thanks dawlish.com, all the bollocks served a purpose.
Everything else goes up in price, why expect Council Tax be an exception? Yes it's a stealth tax but that's because the council gets additional government funding if they freeze Council Tax. It's all smoke and mirrors, the bottom line is if you want services you have to pay for them. On the subject of flytipping, people who are inclined to do that sort of thing are not the kind of people ...
Not having PR was a way or avoiding coalition governements but that's exactly what we've had and are likely to get so maybe now is the time to seriously consider it. It's never really bothered me before but the idea that the strings could be pulled by SNP/UKIP/PC is crazy.
Thanks for the replies. AndyLUFC, never thought I'd have network envy but I must admit I get pretty excited when 4G appears on my phone - not in Devon of course!
@Huw. Yes, I like that idea very much. I wonder if there is an area near the allotments - free compost to allotment holders!
Hang on a minute. Based on what Michael Clayson has just posted it's clear SoulofDawlish aka Gary Taylor and MC already know each other 'in real life'? So Gary Taylor has been posting here with the advantage of knowing that MC doesn't know who he is? And Margaret Swift has the front to call anonymous posters 'cowards' and MC a 'bully'? How about Gary Taylor privately emailing Michael ...
