A holiday park in Dawlish that offers the ulti-mutt getaway for dog owners and their furry friends is paw-sitively ecstatic after been crowned Holiday Park of the Year. Cofton Holidays directors Helen Scott and Mellony Kirby picked up the honour at the Dog Friendly Awards, which were held at the Kennel Club in London last Thursday (November 21).
A Dawlish Community Transport driver has been recognised for his dedication at a recent buffet and skittles event for staff and volunteers. A pensioner who died after his car crashed into a tree near Torquay has been named as RAF veteran Wilfred Owen. The 84-year-old, of Dawlish , was taken to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth on Remembrance Sunday, November 10, after the incident on the A379 between Teignmouth and Torquay at around 12.55pm.
