@Lynne , Sorry to have missed meeting you and Margaret Swift in Dawlish today - perhaps sometime soon? @Kaz , The TDC Executive report of the 10th December 2013 puts it in plainer English: "The planning obligation agreement (S106) with Shutterton Park Ltd provides £436,000 funding to deliver the Coastal Park and a further contribution of £264,000 to the ongoing ...

Good to have met up again with Richard and his family (and his sheep!) at today's Christmas market. Literally hundreds of people adding their names to the petition in support throughout the day. Lovely also to have met up with Alison Foden, the lady who single-handedly kicked off the 38 degree petition. Thank you Alison for your stand which - as we now know - represents the concerns of a large ...

I think Michael put it most succinctly in his opening post: "... Housing allocations only create buildings if a Developer comes forward with the money.  Equally a SANGS is only created if the local authority acts on the proposal.  This can be influenced by public pressure but also is informed by the demands being put on the authority by bodies such as Natural England." 2500 signatures now on the petition in support of Richard Weeks in his battle with Teignbridge...

Just a handful of on-line petition signatures needed to bring up the 2500 milestone! Has everyone in your household who supports Richard Weeks' Warren Farm signed yet? https://you.38degrees.org.uk/petitions/immoral-tactics-of-teignbridge-district-council #

Thank you very much, Michael. So let me get this straight, the 6 Town Councillors who put themselves forward to the DPNP#2 Steering Group (including the 3 Teignbridge District Councillors, Humphrey Clemens, Roz Prowse and John Petherick) get to select their short list (a list of 6 presumably) to put before the full Council for recommendation? Has it not been considered that a more transparent ...

... and a cracking job that's been made of repairing it! More investment needed to keep this iconic line going into the far-distant future. While nightmareish for some residents, such pictures can only help keep such funding matters in the eye of the public - and in the face of the politicians.

Michael, This is important: will it be a matter for Dawlish Town Council to chose (from the volunteer members of the public) who is best qualified to join the new Dawlish Parish Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group - or will the 6 town Councillors who have already put themselves forward to the Steering Group (a group which includes 3 District Councillors) be making the selection instead?

Absolutely right, Lynne. While it is utterly disingenuous to boast proudly of supporting a cause without assisting others in its common purpose, these self-serving tactics do have a positive benefit in helping keep the issue of Warren Farm in the spotlight.

Stick with us, Roberta - the thread is this long only because it is such a concerning issue. Have you tried using the 'End' button on your keyboard? It should get you there straight away. I only have a brick for a phone so I do not know if there's an app for that... anyone else?
