I have some clear plastic envelopes that look like those that are using to put parking tickets into. Inconsiderate/illegally parked drivers recive one of hese underneath their windscreen wiper with a piece of paper inside it. "This is your lucky day. Why is the sand not red? Good question Don. From memory, it's because the sand at the Warren is acidic, which is very rare for UK spits. As you probably know, most sand spits are derived from shell/coral materials. Apparently, the Warren spit is only 7000 years old and therefore much younger than the nearby cliffs (which are effectively fossilised sand dunes in their own right!).

I really hope that this application is accepted, we really need our dunes back. From the BBC website: Sand could be brought in from the Isle of Wight to replenish stocks at a Devon beach. Does the pavement fall within the legal definition of a "public highway"? I thought that the term referred to roads, not pavements.

The Daily Mail eh? Big Brother Watch eh? As for car number plates. I've found out that if I step outside of my front door with a pen and paper, I can write down car number plates!!!! Write them down I tells you!!!! And find out where the owners live!!!!!!!!! Then eat their children!!!!!!! (Sensationalist exclamation marks deliberate)... Get a grip man.
