A friend has been waiting for months for an op that she really needs. Finally, losing patience, she decided to go private: it'll be the same surgeon, at the same hospital (Wonford), but will cost £10-11K, which she can just about afford. Now, she's still waiting. 'Oh yes', they said, 'there's so many people going private these days you still have to go on the waiting list'.
When I studied law (in the Bronze Age) the example always given was "the freedom to shout 'fire' in a crowded theatre" (when there is no fire, of course).
I've been told that no sub-contractor can operate on both Sat and Sun: it's one or the other.
Certainly the Smugglers gets booked up very early for Sundays; but then it's not in the town so maybe it wouldn't suit you best anyway. I'd agree with S's suggestion of the Marine.
Shaldon is very expensive; and in shadow a lot of the time because it's on the north side of a hill. Bishop is a decent option but public transport isn't great (no railway station). Teignmouth has, as others have said, a better shopping centre; but most of the housing is on very steep hills around the town. There is a lot to be said for living in Dawlish IMO.
Gone, I was told yesterday.
In case anyone missed this, the survey is at http://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/D5HHH2V
Yes indeed. I was disappointed when Spotlight reported these championships, they banged on about how well the south west had done but not a mention of Dawlish.
Thought as much.
is there anything to stop these houses being bought-to-let ? (asking out of sheer ignorance). if not then, @FredBassett , you may be disappointed in the newcomers
