THE family of a Dawlish Warren hotelier who has passed away at the age of 85 have remembered him as ‘a true gentleman’. Known to family and friends as Geoff, the Langstone Cliff Hotel’s Geoffrey Rogers sadly passed away on May 5.
STAYING active and a healthy lifestyle are credited for one Dawlish resident making it to the age of 105. Irene Sadler celebrated her major milestone birthday with a party at a Dawlish care home where she now lives.
AN ELDERLY Dawlish woman is in hospital with serious injuries after falling from a mobility scooter. The 89-year-old was attempting to manoeuvre her scooter past a van which was parked across the pavement.

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Teignbridge’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows. The Lansdowne, a pub, bar or nightclub at Lansdowne Hotel Park Road Dawlish Devon was handed a four-out-of-five rating after assessment on April 24.

FOUR Teignbridge beaches have secured prestigious awards. Dawlish Warren beach has retained its Blue Flag accolade again, for the 26th successive year, one of 35 beaches across the south west to achieve the accolade.
DAWLISH Warren Lifesaving Club was among several organisations who have been helped with funding from a local holiday park. Club members were at Lady’s Mile Holiday Park for an event to celebrate its Social Impact Day, highlighting local organisations which have been supported.
