A ‘GENTLEMEN’S’ rugby club has donated £500 to a Dawlish charity. The Holcombe Gentlemen’s Rugby Club was founded 25 years ago by fans of the sport who frequent the village’s Castle Inn pub.

A TEIGNBRIDGE forest school has achieved Ofsted approval. Run by Dan Rees, the school, which is based out of Dawlish, as well as Southleigh, offers youngsters the chance to learn bush craft skills, including safe knife use, fire lighting, den building and so on.

RESIDENTS in Dawlish are due to pay a ‘modest’ increase in the town council share of their council tax. The town council’s budget announcement has been approved by the full council for 2025 to 2026.

DAWLISH has welcomed its new neighbourhood beat manager. PC George Miller is now working in the town alongside two police community support officers. One of his first jobs was to meet town councillors where he updated them on efforts to keep the Dawlish community safe.
