Exploratory work has started ahead of a major South West Water (SWW) project in Dawlish. Workers have begun drilling holes in the car park at Sandy Lane this week and investigations have also taken place on the Lawn.

The fire brigade, coastguard and RNLI Exmouth lifeboat were called to Starcross this afternoon after the Starcross to Exmouth ferry caught fire. Fire crews from Dawlish and Middlemoor tackled the fire on a boat operated by Simon Turl moorings maintenance and servicing firm, while a fire crew from Exmouth were on board the Exmouth lifeboat.

A holiday park in Dawlish that offers the ulti-mutt getaway for dog owners and their furry friends is paw-sitively ecstatic after been crowned Holiday Park of the Year. Cofton Holidays directors Helen Scott and Mellony Kirby picked up the honour at the Dog Friendly Awards, which were held at the Kennel Club in London last Thursday (November 21).

A Dawlish Community Transport driver has been recognised for his dedication at a recent buffet and skittles event for staff and volunteers. Dawlish Community Transport presented Paul Cooper with a certificate of appreciation for his 12 years of continued service in recognition of his support and dedication as an employee.

How about a Blue Ribbon day about preventing violence against men/boys by women of which I have had first hand experience?

Why dont the police just get on with their jobs instead of anti social week and now white ribbon campaign?

DAWLISH Women’s Walking Football Club were represented by three of their teams in the latest round of the Devon Walking Football League, on Sunday, November 17. At The Exwick Hub, the over-40s team, known as The Cygnets, started the day in third place in League One, three points behind leaders Plymouth Argyle Ladies.

Businesses from around Teignbridge have been celebrated at the recent Devon Women in Business awards. Dawlish-based illustrator Becki Higgins from Becki Leigh Studios won the Sole Trader / Freelancer of the year award.
