It's a shame that it can't be replaced with something, a lovely, well kept, maintained facility would be an asset there. Shame it will become flat concreate.
He won't loose his job by company default, he would only loose his job if is mental state is not secure. It's sad all round, those effected in anyone. Thoughts are with the gentlemans family and friends and likewise the train drivers and all those touched by these sad events.
I hope she or he would not lose their job but some train drivers are so badly affected that they are never able to drive again.
Think about the train driver who is probably traumatised and may lose his job.

A person has died after being hit by a train between Dawlish and Dawlish Warren. All lines between between Plymouth and Exeter St David's Station are blocked, and trains are expected to be cancelled, delayed or revised as a result of the incident.
