Last night a number of folk from the theatre drinking wine by the brook maybe they didn't think the prohibition notice applied to them.
@Cassandra - not a lot i expect from the lack of police activity in enforcing the prohibition notices on the lawn. The prohibition of consuming alcohol, drugs is infringed on a daily/nightly basis plus the foul language and drunken boxing matches that take place on a regular basis, in full view of Dawlish residents and holiday makers.
All true.
re: monty's comment. The dawlish gazette and more especially the dawlish post are only there to show charity raising photos and other "good news". They have no backbone as regards stating an opionion about whats good for dawlish to ANY councilers or MPS probably because of potential loss of avdertising revenue. The "editor "only makes vague comments when it should be shouting fromthe rooftops ...
Would have thought that if something against the law happens on the Lawn the police would have to be involved, depends on what is classed as criminal activity these days.
Is what happens (or not) on the lawn the concern/responsibility of the town council?
Unless there is something we have not been told then I don't understand why the police are treating this as a race hate attack. There could be any number of reasons behind this incident.
@Brooklyn Bridge - agree, the d.d&d.c seem more active since the prohibition signs went up than they were before. i see these people! on a daily basis around the lawn, not just once in a blue moon. What's the town council doing about this a.s.b.o...............not a lot I expect.

Currently there are 13,600 patients registered with the practice, but this is expected to rise by 20 per cent in the next 10 years as a result of the additional houses being built around Dawlish.
