DAWLISH Carnival is all systems go for this summer organisers have announced, despite major work by South West Water. Organisers have confirmed this summer’s carnival will be taking place from Saturday August 9 to Friday August 15.
A DETERMINED duo represented Fit2Run on Sunday, January 12 at the Dawlish Coaster’s ‘Oh My Obelisk’. This is an event that is ran every year and it consists of a multi-terrain nine or 13-mile route up to the Obelisk at Mamhead from Dawlish Leisure Centre and back down again.

HEAVY rain has caused water levels in Dawlish to rise, prompting campaigners to repeat calls to tackle the flood risk to the town. A DAWLISH hair salon owner has raised more than £1,000 for an animal rehoming charity. Chrissy Marks of Signature Hair and Beauty raised £1,281 for Saving Pound Dogs Cyprus (SPDC). Throughout December, Chrissy raised money from selling wares at Christmas markets, as well as donations made by her customers.
DAWLISH will be in the national cycling spotlight this summer as British Cycling announces the 2025 series. British Cycling is to host the Dawlish Grand Prix in July as part of its elite road and circuit calendar.
