MAYOR Lin Goodman-Bradbury was in attendance at the Dawlish Lawn Tennis Club to officially open the new courts. The junior section at the club ranges from those aged five or six all the way up to under-18s and so finals day was a hotly contested event.

HIGH winds and driving rain caused havoc to Teignbridge yesterday with train services suspended, trees blocking roads and yachts breaking moorings. Yesterday saw trains come to a halt at Dawlish station as services were suspended.

Was this the banger racing up in a field up Port Road, if it was, it was absolutely brilliant! I wish that another event like this could take place, I reckon it'd bring the spectators in, that's if Health and Safety would allow it!

THREE Dawlish artists came together to display their work for the first time as part of the annual Devon Open Studios event. The artists, all members of Dawlish Art Group, are experienced at showing their artwork at the group’s annual exhibition but this new venture, held at the Hope Centre, was a chance to reach a wider audience.

Homebuyers will have the first chance to look around the two new show homes at Taylor Wimpey’s Brook Vale development in Dawlish during a special launch event next month. Brook Vale is a collection of 180 homes, including two-bedroom apartments and a range of three and four bedroom houses.

Newton Abbott MP talks quite allot of rubbish. Dawlish became a Fairtrade town way back in 2008 and at the time was one of the first in the County to obtain it's status.
