@Mcjrpc As I understand it - Owners of any property have obligations towards public safety, but I'm not sure that this extends to aesthetics. As always there is always an issue about when it is appropriate for a district council to intervene. How bad is bad enough, given that enforcement is a cost to the taxpayer. We'd all say instinctively act sooner rather than later, but the costs ...
I could ask TDC environmental health to investigate, but it would be good to hear (By private message preferably) from anyone with some definite information, not speculation
Is anyone actually living there now?
@ Fred. Im not not technically adept enough to say whether what you suggest is physically feasible - I leave that to others. What I do know is that Natural England played merry hell with suggestions of a small play park in front of the Boathouse, so there would be "issues" over a bandstand. It's all to do with a special form of grass ( I kid you not ) that is legally protected. ...

Apologies for the length, but I didnt want to edit it and be accused of leaving out anything important. Report to Dawlish Town Council, Tuesday 19 August, 2014 Coastal Communities Fund (CCF) Executive Summary of Recommendations That no further work is done ...
Although I obviously agree with Robert about the "driving force" comment, I think it is going too far to call the Gazette coverage biased I think the paper is very careful to always provide balancing comments in their coverage. Yes, the last few months have been rough, but the paper has a job to do in reporting the different views in Dawlish about the proposals. It would have been good if ...
Thank you webmaster Can I just ask, is there a time delay? or are we talking about different threads? There is a thread (currently number 3 on the list) relating to the ladies death. I would ask that this is removed as soon as possible also
Please can the thread relating to the fatal incident near Smugglers be removed?
Hoorah for some good news ....... Brunel was right, and with the reversal of the compromise forced on him by Mr Powell all those years ago we will have a much stronger protection for the line. I suspect the initial work may appear unsightly, but Network Rail will no doubt apply solutions to this to make it more in keeping with the general appearance.
