Thanks FB2. Happy to bring a smile to your face.
LN. What do you suggest? Give new houses away? I had to save up for every one of my houses over the years. It's all relative - yes house prices were lower back then, but so were wages. If the likes of Ken and his ilk had their way, then there'd be no new houses built for anyone at all. Full stop. Well, at least not near to where the NIMBYs live.
B. No, I mean it...
LN, I'm sure that they appreciate your concern. But, out of interest, why would it have concerned you had you not known anyone going? Anyway, as I've written on here before (and hence me posting on this topic manys a time), I'm going to be there and I'm going to enjoy every second of it! Life is for living, not for moaning.
LN. I don't how much the food and drink will cost. I'm not sure why that concerns you as you're not going, however what I do know is that plenty of local food outlets will be there. Making money for both themselves and for their staff. I'll let you know afterwards how their prices at OBW compare to their normal prices.
LN, I don't have a copy, but a friend in Kenton does. I'll see if they've still got it.
Thanks for sharing that Gary.
Who told you that the A379 is going to be closed?
A letter has been sent by TDC to Kenton and Starcross residents describing in great detail the road plans, transport arrangements and other pertinent information for the weekend. There will also be a community meeting in Kenton on 18 May, being held by reps of the BBC, Powderham and transport authorities.
I was asked to provide evidence and I have. It's far more effective than being a keyboard warrior to ask the right people the right questions. Of course they didn't ask every single customer - their delight is probably because the additional customers volunteered the information. That's me done on this subject, until after the event - some people will never be happy so there's no point flogging ...
