These kids are not stupid they know that the PCSO'S finish at 2300 and then it will take 20 to 30 minutes for a Police patrol to arrive if someone phones in there unruly behaviour and then all they do is scatter wait until the Police leave then carry on where they left off. I agree with the comments. Its an ongoing problem in Dawlish and no doubt every other town and city throughout the country. The Noise that these young kids create during the early hours of the morning is disgraceful, they don't care about anyone but themselves, the parents don't care. It's the same most weekends drunk 15/16 year olds on the Lawns and around the town centre screaming and shouting till 2 or 3 in the morning.
Mispent youth. They are everywhere but adults ignore them until something serious happens - to late then. And to answer Ziggy, the parents are probably pissed and don't care.
What on earth were youngsters doing out at that hour, do their parents know where their are. I thought most would be at home this time of year revising for their GCSE EXAMS.
I phoned the Police a few nights ago at 0100 as there were 12 under 16 year olds physically in the Brook at Jubilee Bridge chasing Swans by the time the Police arrived they were at the Bandstand smashing beer bottles i think DEEDOODLE may be right. I will add when the Police arrived they all scattered in different directions.
