MARINA Bowling Club on Sandy Lane, Dawlish, are gearing up for the new season of lawn bowls which starts on Saturday April 19, 2025. The maintenance team have been very busy throughout the winter tending to the green (the club’s biggest asset), making new access points with rails onto the green, repairing the surrounds and generally maintaining the areas.

POLICE are urging witnesses to come forward following a fight in Dawlish Warren that saw two males attacked. Devon and Cornwall Police received a report of a group of males attacking two other men on Warren Road at just after 2pm on Saturday, April 12.

Teignmouth Maritime Services (TMS) and its Dawlish subsidiary Marine Plant Hire (MPH) have been bought by a London-based private equity firm for an undisclosed sum. Sullivan Street Partners acquired the firms along with hydraulic engineering company Hesselberg Hydro, which is half-owned by TMS, in a three-way deal.

PARAMEDICS were alerted to an incident at Dawlish Leisure Centre this morning. South West Ambulance Service confirmed they were called at 7.40am today to the Sandy Lane centre. A spokesman said: ‘We were called at 07:40hrs on Wednesday 16 April to an incident in Dawlish.

A police team found drug use and possession of illicit drugs in five pubs on the weekend. The neighbourhood police team for Teignmouth and Dawlish visited seven pubs in the area in order to prevent drug use.
