A man has appeared in court and admitted killing a Cornish pensioner. Brian Downie, 69, held his hands up to causing the death of 81-year-old Lesley Davis. In a trial starting in April for 12 months traffic will be stopped from using Estuary Road and Church Road through Powderham, alongside the River Exe. The only vehicles allowed will be for access, and will apply for the full length of the route between the A379 junctions at Red Lodge in the north and Starcross in the south. Read more... ...
