TWO men who struck up a strong friendship during a Christmas spent in hospital undergoing gruelling treatment for blood cancer are marking 12 years in remission. Andy, 35, from Dawlish, met Chris in 2011 when they were both being treated for aggressive forms of leukaemia.

TRIBUTES have been paid to a stalwart of the Royal British Legion Dawlish branch. The death was announced of Tom Elliott, MBE, former president of the Dawlish branch. The retired Royal Navy lieutenant commander will have a guard of honour at his funeral which takes place on Friday December 27 at 2pm at St Gregory’s Church, Dawlish.

So after our local MP "warned " the goverment to continue this ( see Nov MDA report post ) it seems they have taken no notice of him but hey its good lib dem PR to pretend as if the labour goverment ever would listen to a minority party.
HOPES the final phase of the project to protect the railway line between Dawlish and Teignmouth will be completed soon have been thrown into doubt. But the cost of the final phase is said to cost ‘substantially more’ than the first four phases combined.
MAYOR of Kingsteignton Cllr Ron Peart hosted his annual Civic Service held at the town’s Community Hall.
