Sadly, some misguided folk will agree with your neonsense about it being a backhander. Local businesses and individuals are all benefitting from this once in a generation opportunity. That's why TDC quite rightly are contributing towards the costs of this event.

LN. It's the orchard on the left hand bend after the harbour and towards Starcross. I've no idea who owns it, and frankly don't care.
It's only £10 to park at the orchard field at Cockwood harbour. Much nearer and obviously much cheaper.
