Teignbridge Leisure is looking for donations of unwanted buckets, spades, balls and beach toys to fill its seafront libraries in Teignmouth and at Dawlish Warren. The popular beach toy libraries, which launched for the summer season this week, allow people to borrow equipment for their trip to the beach and then return the toys at the end of the day.

A SURPRISE was in store for an abseiling railway worker when he discovered a tawny owl nesting in a hole on Dawlish cliffs amid the bustle of a major worksite. The worker was descending the sheer cliff face above the tracks and put his foot into a toehold only to find his boot bitten by the protective mother-to-be.

A Devon couple say their Porsche is a "lethal weapon" after facing a slew of safety issues. Chrissy and Nick Marks, from Dawlish, purchased a Porsche Cayenne SE Hybrid in 2021 for around £45,000 from the Porsche Centre in Exeter .
