GRANTS of up to £500 are available to projects that positively address the social, economic and environmental wellbeing of communities around the Teign Estuary. The grant is for communities around the Teign Estuary and adjacent open coastline, including Dawlish, Holcombe and the Ness.
A TEAM of nurses from Dawlish Community Hospital put on their running shoes to raise money for charity. The foursome took part in the Race For Life for Cancer Research which was held at Westpoint in Exeter.

JUST last weekend, Olivia Steer of Dawlish enjoyed the South West of England Championships. The talented runner won her heat in Birmingham by five seconds and went on to claim second in the final, achieving another Personal Best in the process.
A TEENAGER, part of a Dawlish drugs gang, was caught drug dealing for the third time and told police ‘I will always go back to what I know’. Finley Walsh was groomed by gangs from the age of 12 and has been arrested repeatedly while acting as a runner for them.
PLANS have been approved to give Dawlish railway station a facelift. Listed Building consent has been granted by Teignbridge Council for the maintenance project which will mainly involve repainting the Grade II listed station.
Network Rail is investigating an incident on the sea wall at Dawlish at the weekend in which a woman on a mobility scooter fell to her death. The incident happened on Saturday afternoon near Lady’s Mile.
AN 81-YEAR-OLD woman reported missing in Dawlish has been found, police have confirmed. Tiborne Palko was found safe by police after an appeal was put out earlier today to anyone who may have seen her.
