THIS week’s match report for Bovey Tracey Bowls Club begins with a home fixture in the men's Mid Devon League against Dawlish, writes Keith Lockett. In cool but pleasant playing conditions, the visitors ran out winners by 80 shots to 72 with the rinks tied two each.

POLICE have made an arrest following a series of burglaries from schools in Dawlish. A suspect was located and arrested over the weekend, the Coastal and Rural Teignbridge Neighbourhood Team said.

A Dawlish tea blender has launched a new product inspired by the River Teign and its estuary. Teign Tea is the latest blend offered by South Devon Teas. The floral, organic, loose-leaf green tea ‘with a hint of sea breeze’ is described as ‘a celebration of the local landscape in every sip’.

I am not clear what this group intends to do.  Will the islands that have formed over recent years still be left in place to grow even larger, and is this just some kind of cosmetic sop because the LibDumb council has no interest in restoring the brook?
