A NURSE from Dawlish Hospital has won an award for his ability to turn his hand to everything. Abdul Alhassan was nominated for an Our People Award after showing his passion for knowledge. Abdul was nominated for his knowledge and keenness to learn, his interest to teach, and his ability to turn to anything, at any time.

Why dosent rosie dawson get on with fixing dawlish issues e.g dredging the brook and replacing the bridge in the manor instead of going to see about the anti aocial behaviour.? If it relates to immigrants maybe she can tell them what benefits they can claim.?

POLICE have been at Coryton Cove in Dawlish following reports of anti-social behaviour. The response has come after a number of tents were seen pitched on the beach for several days over the last week.

Dawlish & District Snooker League held their presentation evening at Shaldon Conservative Club, on Saturday, September 7. The presentation of trophies for the 2023 - 2024 winter season was preceded by the final of the team knockout cup competition, which this year was between the resident teams from the Shaldon club, i.e.

Well that's what we pay for.Pity there is no competition. Can only mention it's not the only one we are forced to pay for. Only this will not be the last. No matter it still reminds of the TV licence.

TWO Teignbridge beaches have been hit with a sewage alert following unsettled weather over the weekend. Dawlish Town and Teignmouth Holcombe beaches were identified by campaign group, Surfers Against Sewage (SAS), as sewage discharge locations.

Following the weekend's heavy rain, pollution alerts were issued at beaches across Torbay and along Devon's coastline, as South West Water discharged raw sewage into the water. South West Water have issued alerts at Meadfoot St Mary's Bay, Totnes, Holcombe, Dawlish and Exmouth.

What happened to operation clean sweep.When if memory serves we ,the locals were paying the highest water bills in the country.(to upgrade the old under invest sewage system) someone is pulling our tail.

A UNIQUE training programme teaching traditional seaside entertainment has marked the completion of its summer season. Seaside supremo and founder of Dawlish-based Promenade Promotions Tony Lidington secured Arts Council funding to provide support for newcomers to the business.
